Children & Families
In support of our vision that all children in Alameda County will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a
safe, healthy, nurturing and stable home, we at Alameda County SSA aim to:
- protect children when they have been abused or neglected, or are
in danger of abuse and neglect;
- strengthen and preserve families;
- find permanent homes or alternative placements for children
who cannot remain safely at home or be returned to their families;
- assist children in our care to become productive adults; and
- support the efforts of foster parents and other substitute
caregivers to provide high quality services to children and families.
We hope to achieve these goals through our foster care and adoption programs.
