Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA), Dept. of Children and Family Services, released a new request for proposals (RFP) for the procurement of Substance Abuse Testing and Counseling Services.

The RFP is titled 2009/2010 Substance Abuse Testing and/or Counseling and solicits proposals designed to demonstrate an agency’s ability to provide Substance Abuse Testing to individuals who reside in Alameda County. A great deal of the testing is court ordered, and all referrals are made by Children and Family Services Department staff. A total of $306,000 has been allocated for this RFP for the 12-month period of July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010. All contract awards are contingent upon receipt, by Alameda County, of adequate Federal and State funding.

Community-Based Organizations and Public or Private, For-Profit or Non-Profit Organizations with experience providing substance abuse testing are invited and encouraged to participate in this RFP process.

All agencies desiring to participate in this RFP process and submit a proposal are encouraged to attend one of two RFP BIDDERS’ CONFERENCES (see conference details below).
