SUBJECT: Family Visitation Center

Today, May 7, 2010, Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA), Dept. of Children and Family Services, released a request for proposals (RFP) for the procurement of Family Visitation Center.

Funding will be provided for a 12-month contract period with an initial 10-month period contract for an estimated start date of September 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.  Funding for the Family Visitation Center will come directly from SSA and from EPSDT Medi-Cal billing (Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment). The contract award is also contingent upon receipt, by Alameda County, of adequate Federal and State funding.

Community-Based Organizations and Public or Private, For-Profit or Non-Profit Agencies with experience are invited and encouraged to participate in this RFP process.

Providers responding to this RFP must have five (5) years experience delivering services in Alameda County or another county with the ability to bill EPSDT Medi-Cal, and have demonstrated experience in providing Therapeutic Visitation services as outlined in this RFP.

All organizations/agencies desiring to participate in this RFP process and submit a proposal are encouraged to attend one of two RFP BIDDERS’ CONFERENCES (see conference details below).
