Request for Proposal :. ACAP Funds available for Community Services Block Grant

The Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) invites your application for calendar year 2007 program funding, with anticipated extensions into 2008 based on performance. This Request For Proposals (RFP) announces the availability of ACAP's total estimated 2007 program budget of $325,000 in Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds.

ACAP has identified its funding priorities as:

Jobs/Housing Case Management for Family Self-Sufficiency
Applicants applying for ACAP funding may provide services such as the enrollment of eligible clients in long-term case management activities that lead to and/or sustain employment, the acquisition of affordable housing, and a balanced family budget. The activities proposed may be broadly defined and will be measured by their impact on obtaining and sustaining self-sufficiency for clients.

Self-Sufficiency
ACAP defines Self-Sufficiency as the combination of jobs for employable family members, affordable housing, and childcare when needed, for individuals or families, so that their household incomes equal or exceed their minimum household expenditures. To determine this, all clients enrolled in ACAP programs must be first determined employable within the contract year, assessed as to job preparation and support services needs, and trained in family budget preparation at entry and at time of employment.
