Assistant Agency Director :. Emmie Hill

Emmie Hill is the Assistant Agency Director in the Economic Benefits Department.

Emmie brings an impressive background to this new position, as well as a wealth of experience after having served as Division Director since July 1, 1996. Emmie attended Chico State University where she received a BA Degree in Social Welfare Criminology in 1966. She also received an MBA in Public Administration in 1975 from Cal State Hayward. She then went on to study law at the New College of Law in 1981.

Emmie began her career at SSA as a Social Work Trainee in June 1966. She has had a number of promotions - Social Worker I and II; Social Worker Supervisor; Section Supervisor; Management Specialist; Administrative Analyst, Registrar of Voters; and most recently, Division Director at the Eastmont Self-Sufficiency Center.
